AI credits and Courster AI
Every school gets free AI credits each month. Courster AI includes 3,000 a month, and top-ups add more.
Assistant and AI credits · Updated 15 Oct 2026
The Assistant makes real changes in your school, and always shows you what will change before it does anything.
Credits
- Every school gets 50 credits a month free until its first sale, then 200 a month.
- Your first school gets 1,000 bonus credits in its first 30 days, for setup and migration. It's one bonus per person, so opening another school doesn't add more.
- An ordinary Assistant request uses about 1 credit. Bigger jobs use more: a full course draft from a description is 10.
- When the Assistant answers your students in a course, that uses your school's credits too: about 1 per answer.
Courster AI
Courster AI is $29 a month for 3,000 credits a month.
When credits run out
The Assistant pauses until your credits renew on the 1st. To keep going, add 250 credits for $10 in Settings → Billing, on any plan. Top-up credits don't expire, and they're used only after your monthly credits.
